Supporting your health into the New Year


We can all go a little crazy this time of year, and it is important to ensure that we continue to support our health and wellbeing when we can.

At Naturological, we understand that this is part of life and by providing some tips and tricks, you can support your health through into the new year. 1. Ensure to maintain 8 hours of sleep per night wherever possible.

Sleep is vital for restoring your body, ensuring optimum detoxification and repairing cell damage. It also will make you so much fresher for your holiday events!

2. Drink water!

The amount of water that is ideal for you as an individual is your body weight (in kg) multiplied by 0.03. This time of year the weather is warm so maintaining hydration ensures a clear head, great skin and can lessen the effects of dehydration which is usually incorporated with excess alcohol consumption.

3. Spend time with your family and friends.

Our community is vital to our wellbeing - spending time with those who we care about is positive for our mental wellbeing so enjoy your time together!

4. Have your fridge stocked with some healthy options for when you are at home.

When busy, it is easy to forget about stocking up on the basics. Ensure you have a well stocked freezer with some great options or have a few basic ingredients that you know you can whip up a nutritionally dense meal with for those off peak times.

5. Exercise for a minimum of 30 minutes per day.

This time of year sometimes means that we can overindulge. Getting out and moving can assist with digestion, support our wellbeing and assist to ensure we are not putting on those pesky kilograms.

6. Add protein to every meal and snack.

There is so much food around this time of year and this can lead to excessive eating and snacking. By ensuring protein is included in meals assists in making you feel fuller and providing energy throughout the day allowing you to resist some treats.
