    This week I have been feeling like I have been teetering on the verge of getting sick. I'm not sure about you but I really don't have time for that! On a serious note, I wanted to boost my immune system and have a nourishing meal that could support me and fill me full of nutrients this week so I wasn't knocked down with a cold.     There are many well known herbs and spices that are beneficial for gut health. Herbs and spices such as: turmeric, oregano, garlic, ginger, thyme, lemon balm, bay leaves, chives, cinnamon and dill are some that you can include in your meals.     Lentil Salad

    This is such a great salad, we enjoy serving this as a side with a form of protein or as a meal on its own. It's full of fibre, antioxidants, nutrients and above all tastes delicious! Ingredients: 1 cup of brown lentils cooked and cooled 2 radishes sliced 1 cucumber sliced and halved 1 red apple chopped 1 red capsicum sliced roughly 1 red onion sliced Handful of mint roughly torn Dressing: Olive oil Juice from one lemon Pomegranate and orange slices to serve Method: Mix salad
